Funny story.
So yesterday I worked 2-11.
When I get to work, all the garbages where over flowing and there was enough cardboard in the back of the store to give Heidi a heart attack, So I was running it out to our dumpster area, which is right by our drive thru, and has a big door that you have to open, normally the lids to the bins are already open, however this time, the cardboard truck just came, so they were closed, so as I go in to open the lids, the wind takes the big gate and closes it... I am trapped.. 100% I can't open it from the inside... I am screaming for help... I had to pile the cardboard up to stand on, so that people could see me, I ask a customer in a yellow truck "Can you please tell them I am trapped in here?" I hear something from the speaker that kinda shocks me, laughing, and then "Good, she's the manager!" Oooh, I was so mad, Honestly, I was in the dumpster trapped for at least 1/2 an hour... finally someone came thru the drive thru and opened the door for me... probably 50 cars, and only 1 person would help me...
....what is the world coming too...

5 things you may not have known about me!
1) I don't like animals, as much as I love my Home Slice, and 'our' dogs. I really can't stand anything else, however ... the thought of anything happening to any creature upsets me more then anything.
2) I always wanted to do stand up comedy. I have been jotting things down, for my 'act' for as long as I can remember. I would love to go to an open mic night somewhere, but my voice does this weird shaky thing when I get nervous! hahaha!!
3) I am very organized for work, but at home I am a complete disaster, I loose every single thing, and I could careless if the house is a mess, however at work if one thing is not put away correctly I get angry.
4) I would love to adopt a child. I think I would be able to give them a pretty healthy, love filled, happy life.
5) Until just recently I have never slept alone, I sept with my sister, until I was in grade 4, when my parents bought me a tv for my bedroom, then my mom slept with me, until I moved out with Blake ... However, Blake is a very light light light sleeper and I snore, So half the time he ends up in Homers bedroom, Of couse Homer stays right tight to me, under the covers and all!

....I'm Shrinking
....well... in small amounts! after my first week of being meat free and portion control I dropped a whopping 10 lbs! which was amazing, because I was not really exercising as much as I should have been, but to be completely honest, I was probably over doing it, cutting back, and I kinda felt if I went to the gym that someone maybe picking me up from the floor! Now, we got that sorted out! I feel fantastic this week, and I got weighed and I lost 5 lbs more!
So 15 lbs total!! :)
I am a happy girl.. and I now can't wait until next week to see the results!! :)

My House, My Home.
We don't get to many people down this way, I bet even our parents have only been here a handful of times... So, since I seem to hang out at everyone else's houses, I will give you a glimpse of my little humble abode.
This is my dining room and sitting room, taken from my kitchen, We use the dining room lately a lot more, My dietitian recommended that we eat meals at the table instead of in front of the tv!! I really do wish we would use the upstairs more then we do, I am very proud of the way everything goes together, I am not one for style, or matching, but Blake was away when I had to pick everything out, and I think I did a pretty good job! I love all the dark colours, I think it makes it warm and inviting... However if I were to do it again, I would not suggest African hard wood to anyone who has animals.
That is my desk computer that Blake made for me! <3
Sitting room, Homer loves laying on top of the couch cushions, he snuggles right in there... We hardly ever use this room, I guess white furniture was a poor judgment call...
Until next time... or next room...

Whats Cooking Sunday?
Since I have been counting my calories and not eating meat, I have had a tough time trying to figure out what to have for supper... well, tonight, I was alone for supper, Blake had went to his parents house for supper, I could not attend sadly because of a silly little incedent that happened yesterday that involved me... hanging from my leg outside of the van... and ice... and my knee and hip... anyways,
I came up with this little dish, that I will be trying again,
1/4 box of whole grain spagetti noodles 280 calories (per serving)
1/4 cup of mushroon alfrado sauce 70 calories
1 md zuccini 31 calories
1 cup mini mushrooms 15 calories
1 big slice of red onion 10 calories
2 teaspoons of light becel 35 calories
While the noodles were boiling, I fried the mushrooms, zuccini, and red onion, in 2 teaspoons of becel, when the noodles were done, I added the sauce and plated, I then threw the fried veggies on top of it all...
it was very yummie for only 441 calories!
10 down... good start...
For Christmas, my mom bought me a couple pairs of jeans, that I couldn't even get close to doing up, and I wanted to try them on since I felt like I was loosing weight, but I did not want to get discouraged... I went against my better judgment, and did... to my surprised I could get them on.. with out even laying on the bed with a wire hanger... LOL.. I tried on another pair of pants... they fit too, and another .. and not so much luck there, but 3 pairs, is not bad!! :) haha, I was so ecstatic, I called my mom and my sister right away.. and I was really trying to fight back tears, but I was sooo very proud of myself!
The next night my sister brought her scale over and I lost 10 pounds! I was very happy with myself. I couldn't even believe it!! I am looking forward to my next informal weigh in, and I hope to get some more good news!! :) I mean for just over a week, that is not bad!! :)

...Rent
I loved the movie, I love all musicals... but I really enjoyed the music and dancing.. and I got a little iddy bitty crush on Mark (Anthony Rapp) so when I was watching TV and seen that the Broadway show is doing a tour and they are going to be in Toronto with 7 shows featuring Anthony Rapp (Mark Cohen), Adam Pascal (Roger Davis) both from the movie, I wanted to see it sooooooo bad... and in some wave of what could only be described as telekineses (sp?) my sista called and ask me if I would be intrested in seeing RENT with some of the gals from her work.... HELL YES.
So on Friday we went, we watched, we loved... it was Great... If you like musical theatre I would highly reccomend going to see rent, it was a very good experience.
Since Jane was tired she let me drive home... hahaha... I had never driven in Toronto before, but I did pretty good I might add.. I would not want to do it again!! hahaha!

Dinner and a show...
On Thursday night, it was "Wing" night at Kelseys, since I don't eat chicken wings, (Even before I decided to go veggie...) I new that Blake, my dad and my mom loved them, so I thought what a great way to get them outta the house, for a nice supper! lol.. anyways, my wait wasn't long at all, even though it was kinda busy... but they did very well... I think I only waited for 45 minutes, I decided to get the Chicken Sonoma valley salad (minus the chicken) and it was delicious, and very filling, all for... 550 calories, it had so much 'stuff' in it, sunflower seeds, or flax.. not sure what one, but yummie, dried cranberries, feta... yummmmmm! My parents both got a hamburgers, my mom was a wee bit insulted that she didn't get any pickles with hers.. but she got over it quickly. Blake got Balsamic Chicken which smelt probably as good as it tasted.
Blake and I then decided to go to the movies, the only one that had not had started yet was Daybreakers, I thought that it would be perfect because I love love love vampires, however this is unlike any vampire movie that I have seen... gross. It was just more gory then I am use too. I would highly not recommend this movie to anyone.. hahahaha, unless you love gore.

Week!
I know my last few blogs are probably getting old, because they are about weightloss, but for all honestly, it's a pretty HUGE deal to me, it's pretty much all I am thinking obsessing about, but what a huge wake up call, when I did go to the dietitian, I had no idea she could stop the process, and in all honesty, I was kinda not to sure, if I was ready for this big of change...
well this week, I feel I have been somewhat tested... I wrote every single thing down that passed my lippers!!! well.. The iphone is super handy, and I have probably ate 1/4 of what I would normally eat! And STILL NO MEAT!! and it's been a WHOLE WEEK,
WHY NO MEAT?? yes, I know that meat is somewhat important, but I do not enjoy meat, it's always the last thing on my plate, and I always am very picky on how I eat it... it's more stressful to me then anything, So if I am only giving myself a certain amount of calories to eat, Why "waste" them on something that I don't like, through this process I need to learn to enjoy food, but not indulge and this week I have been enjoying it, meat free, However, I do have every intention of going for a nice Steak on Valentines day!! :) hahaha!! So I would hardly call me a vegetarian
, but I sure am trying!
portion size... wow, I would reccomend everyone in the world getting a food scale, I had no idea how important that was, seriously... who new? who cared? again, I have been trying to only eat the proper portions, so mesuring everything, I don't necessarily need to do that now, but I need to get use to it, better now then the day after my surgery, because with a stomach that will only be able to hold 4oz, I could make myself very sick if I don't.
Am I ready for this?? I would like to say yes, but I really don't know... Will I really never been able to go to a buffet again?!? On a really bad day will I be able to eat chocolate? Is it worth all these risks?!?!?!!
Yes...
next post I promise will not be about food, or weight I promise! hahahaha to all my loyal fans... hahahhahaha

Calories Vs Points
I don't know which is better, calorie counting or weight watches point system, a part of me really wants to go on the point system that weight watches has, I mean, so many things out there have a "point" already assigned to them it would be a super easy thing to follow, however, I feel that it's not as structured as I would like it, I mean... you can still go to McDonald's, and you even have a weekly "free" points, that you can redeem any day you want, but they can not be recycled and you can use them throughout the week or save them...
Right now, I am writing everything I eat down and the calorie value, it is going ok, I mean I have only been doing it for 2 days, but it's a start, yesterday was kinda a joke, I was afraid of going over, so I believe I only ate - 650 calories, which I have no idea how I did it, I was quite hungry at the end of the day, but I did not want to eat, so I called it an early night, and went to bed!! LOL
However today, I think I did better, other then at one point in the day I was hungry and board, and I was at my moms, so I ended up eating a cucumber with ranch dressing, and to be honest, it was the best thing I think I've eaten in my life... I guess that is what you get when you "starve" your body, but I tried not to get to crazy today, but more realistic then Monday - 1250 calories +/- some, I mean I have no idea how much my supper was, and I tried to over guess my cucumbers and ranch and whatever else did not have a actual count to it, I am sure it is still less then what I was eating before.
3 days no meat! <3 I bought some of that already cooked chicken so when I made my yummie green stir fry for supper tonight, I just put some of that chicken in a separate pan and put on Blake's plate!
I am pretty excited that I have not had meat for 3 days!! :)
I think I may try this for the rest of the week, and see how I am feeling, for next week I may try the point system... I mean what do I have to loose?? other then weight!??!?!? hahaha
I forgot to mention, I have been switching out one of my meals a day with slim fast, this way I am getting all my vitamins and minerals! :D

Meatless Monday - meatless life?
In order to loose some extra weight, I have decided to cut meat out of my life... LOL however, I have never tried to do this before, so I do not know how far I will get... but it's not like I am a huge meat eater, to tell you the truth, I've never really thought of it before??
Today, Monday. I have written everything down that crossed my mouth, it was a bit tough today because I was on the afternoon shift at work, so I just brought some slim fast powder to put into some milk, but my total daily calorie count was like around 600... I know that given my size, that is pretty low, but I don't feel like I want to eat my arm...
I have found green tea tassimo packets!! so I was very excited about that, I don't LOVE green tea, but I am such a coffee/tea drinker I think its just a healthier option.
Until tomorrow!! :)

Knowing me, Know you -January.
1. Showers or baths?
Baths!! I love baths, I love being surrounded by warm water and bubbles! However, To wash my hair I normally stand up and turn the shower on, but if I was only given the option for one, I would choose baths!!! I like to read in the tub, nap, Homey cuddles with me, and I can never seem to get "warm" without a bath!!!
2. What's your favourite thing for breakfast?
Eggs Benedict - however, I rarely get that, thus the joys of working at 5am! hahaha, however... On a day to day basis fiber one bars!
3. What is your favourite George Clooney movie?
One Fine Day - this may be my favourite movie evah!! It is a few years old now, but I remember watching it while trying to fall asleep or nights that I was by myself, when Blake was at training, and I was scared!! If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it!!!
I also, think that I will love Up in the Air ( or the new one that is out )
4. American Idol starts on Tuesday folks, how do you feel about Ellen joining the judge's table?
I hate PAULA - Every time I see or hear about that woman, MY BLOOD BOILS.... I am 100% sure she is the reason my Danny Gokey *nipple pinch* did not win!! So the thought that Ellen is replacing her, is music to my ears! I love Ellen!! .. did you know Canadians are now allowed to enter her contests?? how fantastic!! :)
I think she is one of the funniest people!!
I was not going to watch it this year, but.. since she's on it I will!!!!
5. Lets say you've got a gift card to Michaels... what would you spend it on?
I think I would give it to my BFF Shannon, I am not crafty and I hate scrap booking.
So now the rules, they're pretty simple. Post your answers to these questions on your own blog in the next few days. Remember to link back here in your post and sign the Mr. Linky too, so we can all see what you have to say. Please make sure you link to your actual KMKY post and not your blog's front page. Any front page links will be deleted. And most importantly, have fun! Have suggestions for next months questions? Leave me a comment or send me an email and let me know.

Leaner, Greener :)
(notice my tassimo??)
Well, I am 100% believe in the more colour you put into your supper/meals, the healthy they are... whether or not that is true, I have no idea, and to be completely honest with you, I only know how to make one thing with lots of colour!! fajitas!! HAHAHA!! I think it looks soo pretty!! yellow, red, orange, white, green... what is not to love and your shells can be any colour now, they have the tomato ones, spinach ones, cheese ones!
Since I have decided to go meat free ( starting Monday ;)) I need to look more into more protein rich meals, I am kinda even thinking of trying tofu, the recipe the mommyproject posted the other day, didn't gross me out like it normally would!! And lets face it, today there is a million different options available to go healthy and not all processed.. So Here I am, tonight, making my meal plan/ grocery list for tomorrow... organic.. soy... blue ... leaner, greener, AHhHhhHHh!!!
I may need a few cooking healthy lessons @mommyproject and @blogmother ... if you guys are offering! :) hehe <3
Well, I will let you know how everything turns out...

Hobbies
I forgot to ask ...
I need to find some hobbies that do not involve food.... Something I can learn that will stop me from being board and eating...
so far, I have came up with the following:
Reading
Colouring (but Blake laughed at this, but when I was a kid I liked it...)
Drawing ( I love to design dresses and outfits,)
Blogging ( notice the 6 entries today? )
Sex ( hahaha but one problem, I only have 1 husband and no boyfriends)
Blake came up with this
he will teach me how to play video games.
Can you come up with any ideas for me?? What are your hobbies?
Scrapbooking is a popular one, however, I have tried, and really it's just something that I can not get into.

Happy Birthday Kim
Today is Kims 30th Birthday!! For those of you (lol... like there is millions reading this!) who are unsure who Ms Kim is, she is my sister in law.
We had a nice family dinner and then Brian, Lynda and Kim came over for some cake and tassimo :) and of course presents!!! I think I did good this year, on her list she had lots of movies and games, but she also had sweaters, Kim has recently gotten an accounting job and has an office of her very own! ... HOWEVER.. apparently it's very chilly in there so I got her a LuLu lemon sweater!! <3 it was soooo purdy, and the accent colour was a very nice blue, so it would bring out her lovely blue eyes!!
Anyways, I hope you had a fantastic 30th birthday Kim!
Love always,
your sister.
Ah hooey.
Ah, I am looking into going for a proceedure that is a very highrisk, and very life changing.. However in order to get this done I have to go to a a number of appointments and testing, lucky for me they are all in TORONTO :( ugh, I mean, there is nothing wrong with Toronto, however, I always have to depend on someone else taking me there... Well, I have my sister who is more then willing to help me out with anything I need to go through with this, so that's handy, but I really hate having to be a "bother". So yesterday was my first set of appointments, I had to meet with a dietition, social worker and I had to go to a class on the operation.
First I seen the dietition, She was asking me a number of questions about myself, my eating habits, my portion control, and then she started asking me about the operation and about the different effects this will have on my diet, to tell you the truth, I haven't really done that much research on my own, I mean I start too, and I get side tracked with looking at the before and after pictures!!However my sister Jane, is very smart and a RN, so I know she would not put me up to something that she thought I would not be able to handle. So anyways, the size 2 who has Dietition who obiously has never had any weight issues in her life, and in my opionion probably made fun of people like me... or even the kind of lady who just glares at me like I am the grossest of things she has ever seen... I felt she was very harsh, which, yes. I know that is probably a part of her job but seriously, she couldn't believe that I would consiter having this done when I have left so much unturned, Dr. Poons diet, (never even heard of this) Dr. Berstien, herbal magic, weight watchers, ect... However to be completely honest, they all cost thousands of dollars, I don't have that kind of money... for diets, that as soon as you stop them, you gain in all back! This is something that I can not stop and can use as a tool for the rest of my life so that I can be healthy, always.
The social worker visit went smooth I think, just a lot of questions to make sure I am able to handle all the changes and whatnot, She wanted to make sure I am going to be prepared to loose some of my friends, people who don't agree with what I am doing, she wanted to know how much support I have at home, at work. If my family knows what I am doing, because next christmas will be very different if I am only half the size of what I was this year!
The class... Oh boy, they think that I may not be ready for this, some of the people didn't even know what they are getting, one girl was much younger, and much lighter then I was!! They went over the risk, they went over what will happen to us, and what we are going to be able to eat before and after!
At the end of the day, I felt like poo, however I am still 95% sure that this is what I want, So what's next?? Sleep apnea clinic!!!!

Coffee and small talk,
I see my fair share of people getting together for coffee, old friends, new friends, family, dates ect. However I am not a coffee go-er, I figure I already spend most of my day around coffee and I like my home time, a lot... hahaha, today however, I thought why not go for coffee with some friends, let me tell you, I am very surprised that we did not get band from Williams! We had some pretty hardcore laughs, and some very inappropriate convo. It was nice, Sometimes I forget how important a little girl time is.
Speaking of small talk, I have been lagging so much on this blog, ugh, I suck!! Oh well, thats life for ya!!! hahaha, I am sure once my review season is over at work, I will have lots more time for everything!!!
until next time my loves!!!!!
